How to create your own MCQ quiz

Start with questions you are allowed to use, give them a clear structure, inspect the preview and choose settings that match the purpose.

1. Prepare a readable question set

Use a question number, option labels, an answer line and an optional explanation. Common prefixes such as “Q1.”, “1.” and “1)” and option styles such as “A.”, “A)” and “(A)” are supported. A simple format is:

Q1. Question text
A. First option
B. Second option
Answer: A
Explanation: Why A is correct.

Keep every option on its own line. Do not include names, emails, roll numbers or other private data in the question text. Only use material you have permission to reproduce or share.

2. Use parse preview

Paste the set into Quizify and preview it. The parser reports detected questions, options, answers and explanations, together with warnings. Fix incomplete questions, duplicate options or ambiguous answers before continuing. A preview warning is useful information, not something to ignore.

3. Choose a preset

Practice favors learning: immediate feedback, flexible navigation and explanations when available. Exam hides answers during the attempt and uses controlled result release. Custom lets the creator choose each supported policy explicitly.

4. Test before sharing

Open creator preview and check the first question, answer selection, Next and Previous, navigator, timer, submission and review. If options are shuffled, confirm that the correct answer still follows its stable identity rather than its displayed letter.

5. Save and choose an audience

Signed-in creators can save and edit a quiz. Keep it private, use an unlisted opaque link, publish it to Community, or use restricted access. Advanced restrictions can require sign-in, specific users, a class, allowed email addresses, a verified email domain or access approval. The join code is separate from the share URL.

Free accounts can create and share quizzes. Premium access is not required simply to use the creator.

6. Check release and attempt settings

Choose one, fixed or unlimited attempts; decide whether first, latest or best score matters; set timing and review behavior; and ask only for participant fields you genuinely need. The Worker enforces attempt limits and scoring.
